In the famous dance scene, only "princess" pupil Claire Standish - played Molly Ringwald - was meant to dance, but the actress dragged her feet and said she felt uncomfortable dancing alone.

So, director John Hughes had the entire cast dance along with her!

However, Molly wasn’t too happy with the finished product, and felt like her moves were terrible regardless.
