Banned one-liners

'Top Gun' is based on the actual US Navy school TOPGUN, and plenty of the movie's one-liners are now banned from being uttered at the facility.

If a recruit uses a phrase like "I feel the need – the need for speed", they will find themselves handed a $5 fine.

Former instructor Commander Guy 'Bus' Snodgrass revealed that the rule wasn't implemented out of spite of the movie, but more so to enforce the school's professional attitude.
