Sir Anthony Hopkins

Sir Anthony Hopkins played Odin - the father of Thor (Chris Hemsworth) - in the films ‘Thor’, ‘Thor: The Dark World’ and ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, in 2011, 2013 and 2017, respectively. However, the 86-year-old Oscar winner did not find the shooting process in the MCU to be satisfying as an actor.

Speaking to The New Yorker, he said: “They put me in armor; they shoved a beard on me. ‘Sit on the throne, shout a bit.’ If you’re sitting in front of a green screen, it’s pointless acting it."
