The 1960s
In the late 1960s a new ‘Batman’ television series hit screens.
Adam West starred as The Caped Crusader and Burt Ward as Robin and their interpretations of the characters are still referenced in Batman projects with 'The Lego Batman Movie' packed with gags inspired by the series.
The show was comical and famous for its "pow" graphics when the two superheroes were fighting villains such as the Joker, Riddler, the Penguin and Catwoman.
This 1960s also saw the introduction of the easily recognizable yellow chest symbol Batman displays.
