Appearing as a new member of the revamped ghost busting team, Leslie Jones joined Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon in 2016's all-female 'Ghostbusters' reboot.

The film was released to a resounding cry of pain and anger by fans, with the four cast members receiving the bulk of the hate.

In her new autobiography, Leslie revealed she received the worst type of threats on social media for strapping on the proton pack.

She shared: "Why are people being so evil to each other? How can you sit and type that? Who does that?”
