Brie Larson as Captain Marvel

Being cast in a Marvel movie can always be difficult, considering how seriously fans of the franchise take it.

Unfortunately for Brie Larson, many were quick to criticise and attack the actress for her titular role in 'Captain Marvel' (2019).

As well as some fair criticisms of her performance, some went to extremes, leaving nasty misogynistic comments on her social media platforms.

Despite the hate, it does not seem that Larson has let the negativity get to her. In an Instagram post last year, which pictured the actress with her co-stars for 2023's 'The Marvels', Larson captioned it: "*trolls combust*".
