Jared Leto as the Joker

Appearing in DC's 2016 villain spin-off, Leto had the very difficult task of portraying Batman's arch-enemy, the Joker, after the masterful performance of Heath Ledger in 2008's 'The Dark Knight'.

To say fans hated his casting and his portrayal would be an understatement!

When the blockbuster was released, bitter fans took to social media to voice their anger with the character, with one user stating they "legit cringed at least once every Joker scene".

The actor had a brief cameo as the Joker in the Zack Snyder cut of 'Justice League', but he is not expected to be seen as the character again.
