Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks

Ahmed portrayed CGI alien Jar Jar Binks in the 'Star Wars' prequel trilogy, and was driven to the brink by fans who hated the bumbling Gungan.

Once 'Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace' was released in 1999, Ahmed received a lot of malicious comments from angry fans.

Speaking to Wired, Best said: "I had people come up to me and say, 'You destroyed my childhood.' That's difficult for a 25 year old to hear."

The actor has since returned to 'Star Wars' in 'The Mandalorian', in which he received plenty of fan praise for his Jedi role, Kelleran Beq.
