Jeff Buckley (1966-1997)

The acclaimed musician - known for his 1994 album 'Grace' - passed away aged 30 on 29 May, 1997.

Buckley was in the middle of a recording session when he decided to go to Mississippi’s Wolf River Harbor to take a break and go for a swim fully clothed.

But after entering the water he never came out.

His body was discovered a couple days later, and he was pronounced dead. While authorities eventually determined that he died of an accidental drowning, with no traces of substances in his system.
