On gun control
Gun control in the United States has been a thorny issue for a number of years, and Trump has typically changed his stance on the right to bear arms.
In his 2000 book ‘Trump: The America We Deserve’, he wrote: "I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun."
However, his view seemed to change in 2015 when he defended his sons Eric and Donald Jr for hunting endangered wildlife in Africa.
He told reporters: "My sons love to hunt. They are members of the NRA, very proudly. I am a big believer in the Second Amendment."
