Chase Sui Wonders learned about the "nasty" side of Hollywood when she dated Pete Davidson.

The 29-year-old actress struck up a relationship with her Bodies, Bodies, Bodies co-star Pete, 31, following his split from Kim Kardashian but released just how "easy" it was to get carried away in all the pandemonium of global fame at that time.

Asked about the fame that came with dating Pete, she told Vanity Fair: "I learned early on in my career how nasty that side of the business is, and I learned a lot of stuff that I don’t want and I want to try to avoid. Hollywood can play a lot of tricks on you. "It’s so seductive with events and the flashing lights and the people calling your name. It’s very easy to get swept up in that."

The I Know What You Did Last Summer star - who split from Pete in August 2023 after nine months of dating - found success when she was cast in the HBO dramedy series Generation in 2021, but admitted that she had never even set out to become an actress because she didn't think it was a "realistic" career choice to begin with.

She said: "I don’t think I ever thought that it would be a realistic career option.

"My plan was to study astrophysics. I was like, ‘This is what people go to Harvard to do."

However, Chase then realised she was "failing" in her academic major, sho changed her degree to film studies.

She said: "I just needed to pivot away from astrophysics—I was failing.

"I was seriously flirting with this idea that I would just say goodbye to it all and just become a corporate drone in Beijing.

"I’m very much a believer in momentum. There’s just an extra layer of confidence you have when you’re already on a film set that can propel you to the next job."
