Trump often used Twitter to verbally attack his enemies and champion his political achievements.

In November 2016, however, he said in an interview on ’60 Minutes’ that his social media approach would change during his time in the White House.

He said: "I’m going to do very restrained, if I use it at all, I’m going to do very restrained."

However, he continued to use the site as president before being suspended after the US Capitol riot in 2021.

His Twitter account has since been reinstated but Trump now uses his own Truth Social platform.
