Stephen Libby and Rachel Duffy have been crowned as winners of The Traitors.

The treacherous duo outsmarted the remaining faithful in the BBC show's dramatic final on Friday (23.01.26) to bag the £95,750 prize pot - taking home £47,875 each.

The pair went head-to-head with remaining faithful James Baker, Faraaz Noor, Jade Scott and Jack Butler in the final - with James and Jade banished during the 75-minute concluding episode.

In a tense end game, the remaining players chose to banish Faraaz first, before Stephen and Rachel remained faithful to each other by voting to eliminate Jack in the second round of banishment and claim victory.

As the pair celebrated, Stephen told Rachel: "I’ll be honest, I had moments where I was doubting what I was going to do tonight, but I couldn’t go back on my word to you.

"It just wasn’t worth the money and I couldn’t have walked out of here by lying to you."

The 32-year-old cyber security consultant described how the prize money would be life-changing for both him and his family.

Stephen said: "I’m just a wee boy from the Isle of Lewis, this kind of stuff doesn’t really happen to me.

"This isn’t the kind of money that me and my family deal with. It’s going to make such a difference. And I just know they’re going to be so proud."

Rachel expressed her pride in becoming the first female traitor to triumph in the UK version of the show.

She said: "It's the best feeling in the world.

"I really thought it was such a big achievement to be the first female traitor to make it to the final, and then to win. I think it will be a very long time until you get the smile off my face.

"I'm really looking forward to not having to lie."

The 42-year-old Northern Irish communications executive explained that she will use the prize money to make memories with her children and mother, who is suffering from dementia.

Rachel said: "When you know her memories are going and you have an opportunity to help her create the nicest ones ever, I think that's very precious."
