EastEnders' Matt Lapinskas expecting his first child
EastEnders alum Matt Lapinskas and his wife Karina Hind are set to become parents next year.
EastEnders' Matt Lapinskas is set to become a dad for the first time.
The 37-year-old actor - who played Anthony Moon in the BBC soap from 2011 until 2012 - and his wife, actress Karina Hind, feel "completely blessed" to be expecting their first child next year after "a long time hoping, dreaming and wishing".
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (25.08.26), Matt shared a video showing Karina's hand sliding down his left arm before she took the star's hand as he held a pair of baby booties, and held up a photo strip of the ultrasound to the camera.
Matt captioned the sweet upload: "Our greatest role yet… coming 2027.
"After a long time hoping, dreaming and wishing for this moment, our little miracle is finally on the way.
"Our hearts are completely full, and we feel incredibly blessed to be stepping into our new roles as Mum and Dad.
"Life has always been an adventure, but this next chapter is one we’ve dreamed of more than anything.
"We can’t wait to meet you, little one.
"The Lapinskas family is growing by one.
"Our next role begins in 2027… (sic)"
His on-screen brother, 37-year-old actor Tony Discipline (Tyler Moon) led the congratulatory messages for Matt and Karina in the post's comments section.
He penned: "Amazing news xx (sic)."
Former The X Factor star Amelia Lily, 31, typed: "Congratulations guys! So so happy for you both."
One fan wrote: "This baby doesn’t know how lucky they are. Congratulations xx (sic)."
A second supporter reacted: "Omg !!! Congratulations Matt, you'll be the most animated daddy ever !! Your son or daughter is going to grow up having so much fun (sic)."
And a third follower commented: "YAY! Now we can scream from the rooftops how happy we all are for you both. So much love guys, huge congratulations again (sic)."
In May 2025, Matt and Karina got married at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire.
Before their nuptials, the Hollyoaks alum penned a sweet tribute to the Matilda The Musical star in which he affectionately called her his "best friend".
Matt posted shots of his partner on Instagram, with the caption: "Tomorrow I get to marry my best friend! My past my present and my future, I will be so proud to say 'I do' you have taught me what love truly is. I love you!
"Can't wait to celebrate with all those we love bring on the party. @karinahind let's do this see you tomorrow future Mrs Lapinskas x (sic)."
He popped the question to Karina during a romantic getaway to Dubai in 2024, pulling out a love letter before he got down on one knee.
A stunned Karina later shared Matt’s love letter on Instagram.
It read: "Karina... Since the day we met, you have brought love and laughter into my life, you are everything I could have dreamed of, life with you is pure and joyful, the memories we have created and will keep on creating will always be fun and full of happiness, I love the feeling and the butterflies I get when I see you smiling!
"They say love conquers all and with you I feel like I have conquered the world! You make me the happiest I have ever been, and there is no one in this world I would want to share the rest of my life with than you!
"I tell you to chase your dreams and seize the moment so that's exactly what I'm doing. (sic)"
Karina added: "I love you @mattlapinskas. I love you more than you will ever know. Forever and always xxx my love... My best friend...My forever.. (sic)"
