The Traitors star Stephen Libby is reportedly being lined up for Strictly Come Dancing.

The 32-year-old Scot, who won the hit BBC show earlier this year alongside fellow Traitor Rachel Duffy, is in high demand for TV producers, and now it's said he's in talks with Strictly bosses about waltzing onto the ballroom floor.

An insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "The Strictly casting team have met with Stephen and think he could be a great fit.

“Stephen was hugely popular on The Traitors and since leaving Ardross Castle he has built up a very big fan base."

He's seen as an "ideal" choice for either the 2026 or 2027 series, given his exposure on The Traitors.

The source added: “The BBC are always keen to utilise their talent and Stephen is ideal.

“No final decision has been made yet but if Stephen doesn’t make the cut this year, he’ll be a key target for the 2027 series — especially if his profile continues to grow as it has.”

Stephen worked as a cyber security consultant before finding fame in the famous castle, and he stepped away from the day job in the aftermath of his and Rachel's win.

Hinting at potential TV plans, he said at the time: "I’m taking a break from work at the moment, to put my feet up and see what happens.

“If an opportunity presents itself that’s more exciting than cyber security, I’ll grab it with both hands.”

However, he also told Heat magazine that he wasn't rushing into a showbiz career.

He explained: "I've quit my day job, mainly because I just want to have a bit of a break.

"I have no grand plans to be in showbiz, I've realised I've worked pretty hard all my life and I want to take this opportunity to take a few months off, see what happens."

If Stephen does appear on Strictly later this year, he'd been joining a cast featuring EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, 2025 Love Island winner Cach Mercer, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, singer Delta Goodrem and reality star Dani Dyer.

The new series will also usher in a major overhaul, with Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe and professional dancer Johannes Radebe replacing long-time hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.
