Will Best for Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special
Big Brother host Will Best is reportedly taking part in the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
Will Best has reportedly been snapped up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.
Bosses of the BBC's Latin and Ballroom dance show are hoping the Big Brother host, 40, will be a hit with viewers when they see him and five other stars take to the dancefloor on Christmas Day (25.12.25) to perform a festive routine.
A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "Will has been a huge hit hosting Big Brother alongside AJ Odudu, and BBC bosses were keen to snap him up for the Strictly special.
"He will have zero issue with slipping into a skimpy, sequinned, see-through outfit, and I can't imagine viewers will have any complaints.
"What's more, he's proven he can cope across live and scripted TV, thanks to his early days on T4, but also as a roving reporter on This Morning.
"Will would be a great fit for The One Show, for example."
The One Show presenter Angellica Bell, 49, is reportedly in advanced talks to take part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special next month.
The insider added: "Angellica adores Strictly, but it's all about timing and right now, talks are ongoing."
Will and Angellica would reportedly star alongside the former The Only Way Is Essex star Jess Wright, 40, and three other celebrities on the festive special.
Speaking about Jess, a source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Jess loves the glamour of Strictly and cannot wait to get on the dancefloor.
"She has always loved performing as a singer – so this will be a chance to learn a different skill."
A BBC spokesperson declined to comment on any speculation about contestants.
The Christmas special will mark Tess Daly, 56, and 53 year old Claudia Winkleman's final turn as hosts following their recent announcement that they are stepping down from Strictly.
In a joint statement shared on social media, the co-hosts said: "We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream.
"We were always going to leave together, and now feels like the right time. We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.
"They’re the most brilliant team, and we’ll miss them every day.
"We will cry when we say the last 'keep dancing', but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza."
