Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

The magical phenomenon marks 25 years since it first enchanted audiences.

Daniel Radcliffe stars as Harry Potter, a young wizard discovering his destiny at Hogwarts alongside Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint).

The 2001 film - also starring Alan Rickman as Professor Severus Snape, Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid, Tom Felton as Draco Malfoy and Richard Harris as Professor Albus Dumbledore - launched one of the most successful franchises in cinema history, and is set to be rebooted by HBO for the next generation in 2027.
