The Murder Mystery of Josie Jump Debunked

Josie Jump, the energetic yellow-clad character from Balamory, was portrayed by Buki Akib in the first two series before Kasia Haddad took over for series three and four, with Akib later moving on to other work.

In a strange real-life incident in 2004, Richard Stojak, who owned the Harbour Heights Hotel in Tobermory — associated by visitors with the show’s yellow house — reportedly told tourists in frustration that he had “killed and buried” Josie Jump, during tensions over rising visitor numbers linked to the BBC series.

Josie's character has now been replaced with a new yellow-themed character Dr Ollie, played by Carl Spencer (pictured).
