It was often described as a pre-school soap opera, focusing on everyday problems solved by colourful characters in a community setting.

Juliet Cadzow - who played school bus driver Edie McCredie - said: "I think it was the first pre-school soap, it combined drama, documentary and fun activities for pre-school children. There was a lot of humour and good characters."
