Spaceballs’ opening scene pokes fun at Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, with a ridiculously long spaceship that just keeps going.

The ship was actually a 17-foot model, built with help from Grant McCune - the same effects expert who worked on the original Star Wars!
