Jackie Brown
Tarantino’s third film ‘Jackie Brown’ scored an excellent 88 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes.
The crime/drama - which hit theatres in 1997 after Tarantino took a four-year hiatus from directing - stars Pam Grier as the titular flight attendant who is caught smuggling $50,000 from Mexico for arms dealer Ordell Robbie (Samuel L. Jackson).
Notably, ‘Jackie Brown’ is the only movie in Tarantino’s filmography that was adapted from existing material, with the picture being based on author Elmore Leonard’s 1992 novel ‘Rum Punch’.
