Kill Bill: Vol. 1

Just edging out its successor, ‘Kill Bill: Volume 1’ is sitting pretty on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 85 per cent.

After being left for dead on her wedding day, a former assassin known as The Bride (Uma Thurman) awakens from a coma and embarks on a relentless quest for revenge against the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad who betrayed her.

Armed with a lethal skill set, she cuts a bloody path toward her ultimate target - her former mentor and lover, Bill (David Carradine).

‘Kill Bill: Volume 1’ was a major box office success when it landed in cinemas in 2003, and earned $180.9 million at the global box office - making it Tarantino’s highest-grossing film until ‘Inglorious Basterds’ topped it with a total taking of $321.4 million.
