Signing Leonardo
After Jordan Belfort published ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in 2007, studios were quick to enter into a bidding war for the book.
Eventually, Warner Bros. emerged victorious, and began hunting for a suitable actor to star as the unscrupulous stockbroker.
Stars like Brad Pitt and Mark Wahlberg were considered for the part, but Leonardo DiCaprio ultimately won the role, and convinced the studio to bring in Martin Scorsese to direct.
