Revival

After ending in 1997, ABC considered making a sequel about Roseanne’s life as a widow after her husband Dan Conner passed away, though the pitch never materialised.

In 2011, the comedian had filmed a pilot ‘Downwardly Mobile’, though nothing came of it. Two years later, Roseanne was again in talks for a 10/90 sitcom deal - 10 episodes to be made immediately, with another 90 to be green-lit if those first instalments were successful, though this too fell through.

Then, in 2017, ABC announced that ‘Roseanne’ would be returning for a tenth series the following year.
