Leonard Nimoy’s ultimatum

‘Stark Trek’ fans would have been shocked to see Spock appear in the episode ‘Vengeance is Mine’!

Leonard Nemoy, who played the Vulcan in the series, cameos as an old officer and friend of T.J, whose actor, William Shatner, had of course also appeared in alongside as Captain Kirk.

However, the two find themselves on opposing sides in ’T.J. Hooker’, after Leonard’s character turns into a vigilante after his daughter was assaulted, leading to the hero attempting to stop him.

The Spock actor only agreed to appear in the show if he could direct an episode. The deal was made, as Leonard then directed ‘The Decoy’ in 1983.
