James Darren suffered from ornithophobia, and reportedly hated shooting scenes on rooftops due to the possibility of coming face to face with a feathered friend.

In William’s memoir, ‘Up Til Now: The Autobiography’, the actor wrote: “Jimmy Darren, I remember, was afraid of birds. As soon as he saw a pigeon he'd start to cower."
