Miley is now worth a reported $150 million but she revealed years after the show finished that she was likely to be the “least paid” person on the ‘Hannah Montana’ payroll, earning $15,000 an episode. The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer was born Destiny Hope Cyrus but became known as Miley when she was a toddler and hinted that she missed out on a lot when Disney capitalised on the character of Miley before she adopted the moniker legally in 2008.

She said: ““I did not grow up spoiled in any way. I just wanted to be on TV. I mean, at one point I was probably the least paid person on my cast because I didn’t know any better. I was just like, I can be on Disney! Yeah, I want to do it! My name was Miley on my show, but I didn’t own my name - we didn’t think about that.”
