Rachel McAdams is now Doctor Strange’s love interest, Christine Palmer, but she almost made it into the MCU long before the 2016 movie.

The ‘Mean Girls’ star was first approached for the role of Pepper Potts, Tony Stark’s assistant-turned-wife, but opted to turn it down in an effort to improve her mental health.

The role ultimately went to Gwyneth Paltrow, who went on to appear in several movies in the MCU as Pepper.
