Lisa Riley and Karen Blick hint at what is in store for the Dingles in Emmerdale
Emmerdale stars Lisa Riley and Karen Blick have teased what viewers can expect from the Dingle family in the future.
Emmerdale's Karen Blick has teased that Lydia Dingle has got a "surprise" storyline coming.
The 50-year-old actress kept tight-lipped about what her alter ego - who returned to the village in the summer after a three-month break from the ITV soap - will be up to soon, but she teased that it will be "tinged" with plenty of drama.
Karen - whose character explained to her fellow villagers that she went away to care for her mum - exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the Inside Soap Awards in London on Monday night (29.09.25): "Lydia’s got a surprise coming up, but I can’t tease anymore about, but it’s tinged with a lot of drama as well."
Elsewhere, Lisa Riley - who plays the legendary, bolshy and "tart with a heart" Mandy Dingle - filled in on what viewers can look forward to in the Yorkshire-based soap soon.
She said: "Well, we’re yet to find where Bear [Wolf] is, so that’s going to be coming April. [Vinny’s] sexuality and being confused, [and Lydia’s] got a surprise coming up."
And Monday night was a big one for the Dingles as the clan claimed the Best Family trophy at the 2025 Inside Soap Awards.
Lisa, 49, and Karen were joined by Bradley Johnson (Vinny Dingle) to pick up the award - which means the world to them.
Lisa said: "We’re really, really happy.
"It’s wonderful, we never think we’re going to win it, we lost out to the Osbournes [Hollyoaks] at the [British] Soap Awards, so this is nice to take back to Yorkshire."
Asked why the Dingles resonate so much with Inside Soap magazine's readers, she added: "It’s the storylines because you can weave a Dingle in any story; whether it’s high drama, high action, comedy, there’ll be a Dingle you can sew into the rug, definitely."
Agreeing, Karen chimed in: "Which is why it’s so great to be a part of the Dingles in Emmerdale because you find yourself in so many different situations with so many different characters.
"It’s fantastic."
