Emmerdale's Lisa Riley has given a big health update following an operation on her left thumb that endured "massive damage" following a "very bad fall".
The 49-year-old actress - who plays Mandy Dingle in the ITV soap - got it "repaired" at Leeds General Infirmary hospital after she toppled off an "extremely slippy" breakfast stool in March, and was forced to wear a cast.
Lisa is now thrilled that her cast has been removed nine weeks after the operation, and she is making good progress on her road to recovery.
In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday (26.05.26), the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2025 campmate said: "Well, great news.
"Here I am at the hospital, I've just had my physio, and I don't have to wear my cast anymore. I'm doing all my exercises. So, yeah, I'm cast-free!
"Thank you to all of the lovely staff at LGI, you know who you are, you're just amazing, you're wonderful.
"So, yeah, bye-bye cast - thumb is free!"
Lisa captioned the upload: "GREAT NEWS!!!!
"So I’ve just left hospital this morning and it’s nine weeks since I had my operation on my thumb…I am cast free.
"Still got my physio and doing all my exercises at home-but back on the road to recovery.
"To all the incredible staff at @leedshospitals @nhsleeds #nhs THANK YOU!!! (sic)"
The Fat Friends alum's followers were delighted with the positive health update.
Lisa's 50-year-old Emmerdale co-star Michelle Hardwick (Vanessa Woodfield) penned: "How is that 9 weeks?!?! Glad you’re on the mend. (sic)"
A fan typed: "It’s great when they take the cast off."
And a second supporter wrote: "Brilliant news lovely x (sic)."
In March, Lisa told her Instagram followers that she was rushed to hospital for an operation after suffering a "very bad fall".
The former You've Been Framed! host posted a shot of her in hospital, with the caption: "OUR NHS @nhsengland IS INCREDIBLE…….
"I have to massively thank my specialist surgeon Mr Daniel Thornton at LGI LEEDS hospital and all the beautiful team, every single one of you who treated me this afternoon-I had a very bad fall over the weekend (no I’m sober) no drunk jokes-it was my extremely slippy breakfast stool and a woollen cardi-my left thumb took all of it-so today hence the massive damage I have had my operation, surgery, treating my UCL in my Thumb repaired.
"#NHS at its absolute best-bye for now I have some fantastic pain relief to take (sic)."
