A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman recovering from operation
A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman cannot work for a few weeks as she recovers from surgery.
A Place in the Sun's Jasmine Harman has had a hernia operation.
The 50-year-old TV presenter has been forced to stop working and slow down for a few weeks as she recovers from the surgery.
In a video posted to Instagram on Monday (25.05.26), Jasmine revealed: "Normally on a Monday morning, if I'm not working, I would be doing my Zumba class. Today I'm not doing it.
"Reason being, I'm recovering from surgery, I had to have a small surgical procedure - nothing serious - just a little hernia operation. I've got a couple of weeks off work, and I know I've been a bit quiet on here; that's the reason why.
"Although it's a small procedure, any kind of surgery really knocks the wind out of your sails. So I will be taking it easy, enjoying the opportunity to slow down a little bit, which doesn't happen very often, but I just wanted to let you guys know."
The property expert captioned the upload: "I’m currently recovering from a small surgical procedure.
"Everything went really well, and it’s nothing serious, but I’m under strict instructions to rest… which for me, is easier said than done.
"So for now it’s comfy clothes, early nights and no Zumba!
"Anyone else find it hard to slow down and sit still?”
Jasmine's fans rushed to the post's comments section to wish her well, as one penned: "Glad surgery went well, I have no problem sitting still, that’s all I’ve done this bank holiday weekend.
"A bit of crafting, that’s it, back to work tomorrow, wishing you a speedy recovery x (sic)."
A second supporter typed: "Hope the recovery goes smoothly … I had a small procedure last Tues too so am resting also. (sic)"
And a third follower wrote: "Thinking of you and get well soon Jasmine enjoy the sunshine xx (sic)."
Jasmine's surgery came three months after she recalled the "awful" and "embarrassing" moment a male nurse realised he had examined the property expert during a smear test.
In a video posted to Instagram in February, she said: "He looked up and looked at me and went, 'Oh, I've just realised where I recognise you from.'
"So awkward, but anyway, hopefully you won't have a bad experience like that. But do go for your smear test!"
Despite the "awful" moment, Jasmine stressed the importance of getting a smear test, which checks the cervix and aims to prevent cervical cancer.
She captioned the video post with: "Prepare for an over-share (you know me!) as I describe one of the most embarrassing moments of my life!
"Smear tests can be awkward. Sometimes hilariously so… Imagine being recognised from TV mid way through it.
"But the important thing is this: cervical screening prevents cancer. It’s not pleasant. But at least it’s quick. And it could save your life. So if you’ve been delaying yours, here’s your sign to book it.
"And if you’ve got a story that made you cringe or laugh, share it below. The more we talk about it, the less scary it becomes. (sic)"
