Ian Somerhalder is Sophie Habboo's celebrity "hall pass".

The 32-year-old TV star has been married to Jamie Laing since 2023, but Sophie has revealed that Ian - who is best known for starring in Vampire Diaries, the hit American TV show - is her celebrity crush and she's described the actor as her "hall pass".

Speaking on their NewlyParents podcast, Sophie - who has son Ziggy, six months, with Jamie - said: "It was Damon from Vampire Diaries [played by Ian] and we went to this drinks thing because everyone seems to know I'm obsessed...

"When we came in he was wearing this little cowboy hat that looked like it was from a souvenir shop and he's gorgeous and I will say he's shorter than Jamie everybody! For some reason I was getting thrown on him."

Jamie then poked fun at his wife for suddenly getting shy.

The former Made in Chelsea star said: "I've never seen Sophie so coy and I was like what do you think is gonna happen here? You guys are gonna go home and shag?"

Sophie then confessed that Ian, 47 - who is married to actress Nikki Reed - was baffled by their brief encounter.

She said: "He couldn't understand why everyone was like thrusting me on him...

"So, I think he thought he was here promoting his whiskey. I think he thought I was like a big investor. So he kept selling the whisky to me...

"So I was there like, you know, breastfeeding, so I'm not drinking any of this whiskey anyway. He poured six glasses of different whisky. He's like, 'Taste this one. This is like smooth. And then can you feel it tingling your lips?'

"I was like pretending to drink all of these whiskies so close to my face. We were literally like our noses were touching it. I nearly went I went, 'I'll drink out of your glass'."

Jamie then jokingly added: "You big old creep ... If he had turned to you and said: 'Sophie, Sophie, I Hey, I think we should go home together.' What would you have said?"

Sophie replied: "I'd have asked you!"
