Rod Stewart gets into spat with disruptive gig-goer at Athens concert
Sir Rod Stewart was forced to halt his concert in Athens at the weekend.
Sir Rod Stewart was left frustrated after a gig-goer spoiled his concert in Greece.
The 80-year-old singer was performing Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? when he got into a spat with a disruptive audience member at his gig at Athens' OAKA Sports Hall on Saturday (13.12.25), forcing him to pause the show.
He moaned at the individual, who seemingly took issue with a woman waving a sign: "Out the f****** way.
"You're spoiling the show for everybody. Out the way. Leave. We don't need you here."
He went on: "All she's doing is putting up a sign.
"It's not hurting you is it, mate?"
Last year, the music veteran announced he will stop embarking on "large-scale world tours".
However, he has no plans to retire.
The You Wear It Well singer wrote on Instagram: "This will be the end of large-scale world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire.
"I love what I do, and I do what I love.
"I'm fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 metres in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79.
"I'd like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next – smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not..."
