George Lopez

The star of ‘The George Lopez Show’ needed a transplant as he suffers from a genetic condition that causes his kidneys to deteriorate. His kidneys became so small they didn’t even show up on a sonogram. George’s then wife Ann Serrano Lopez successfully donated one of her kidneys in 2005. Prior to the couple's divorce in 2011, they set up the Ann and George Lopez Foundation to raise awareness of kidney disease.
