Stewart's commanding Shakespearean voice made his appearances in comedy even more memorable.

He appeared as an exaggerated version of himself in Ricky Gervais' sitcom Extras, earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, and lent his voice to two episodes of The Simpsons.

Stewart also voiced CIA Deputy Director Avery Bullock in animated sitcom American Dad! and served as the narrator of the Ted movies, proving that the star behind Picard and Professor X could be wonderfully self-deprecating.
