Death and Tributes

Stewart passed away at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday (28.10.26) following a "brief and poignant journey" with Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Dementia.

Tributes have poured in from across the world of entertainment, with fellow Star Trek actor William Shatner praising Stewart's "intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity".

His X-Men co-star Hugh Jackman described him as "one of the greats of stage and screen" whilst his great friend McKellen called him "the most respected and beloved actor of his generation".
