The Elm Street House - A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
Freddy Krueger may have haunted dreams, but Nancy Thompson’s house is very real.
Located at 1428 North Genesee Avenue in Los Angeles, the property doubled as the fictional 1428 Elm Street in Wes Craven’s 1984 horror classic, starring Heather Langenkamp, Robert Englund and a young Johnny Depp.
Nancy repeatedly encounters Freddy in and around the home as she discovers the horrifying connection between the killer and her parents.
The same property returned in A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985) and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994).
It remains a private home, so horror fans should stick to viewing it respectfully from the street.
