Lake Placid
Steve Miner directed the 1999 film Lake Placid, which tells the story of a palaeontologist and a sheriff who are terrorised by a giant crocodile in Maine.
The interesting part of the movie is character Delores, played by the late Betty White, a woman who, after admitting he had taken her husband’s life, shows a strong interest in protecting the enormous crocodile (as well as others that live in the area), as these have kept her company. She even feeds the gigantic animal a cow.
