George Lucas to the rescue
Although Steven Spielberg wrapped principal photography on Jurassic Park 12 days ahead of schedule, there wasn’t much time to relax.
He had to quickly move on to directing his next project, Schindler’s List, which meant stepping away from Jurassic Park during its lengthy post-production phase.
Fortunately, Spielberg’s longtime friend and Indiana Jones collaborator George Lucas stepped in to help oversee the process.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Star Wars creator received a “special thanks” credit in the film.
