Ice-T
While he is now considered one of the best rappers in the business, Ice-T had served in the United States Army.
The musician joined the 25th Infantry Division in 1879 and served for four years as a squad leader at the Schofield Barracks in Hawaii.
In 1983, Ice-T was honourably discharged and moved to California to follow his dreams to become a musician and actor.
While he is happy to have served his country, the ‘O.G. Original Gangster’ hitmaker wouldn’t rush back to the military - though appreciates the life lessons it taught him.
He reflected: “Let's put it like this: I don't know if I would voluntarily go back into the military, but I'm glad I did.
“It gave me a lot of [experience learning] how to create a plan, you know? I learned how to do routines, I learned how to problem solve.”
