Tom Selleck

Before he starred in ‘Magnum P.I.’, Tom Selleck received a draft notice during the Vietnam War and enlisted in the California National Guard from 1967 until 1973.

There, the actor served as an infantryman, and went on to earn the rank of sergeant.

He later said: “I am a veteran; I'm proud of it.

“We’re all brothers and sisters in that sense. Regardless of whether you have political problems with whatever mission they’re on, they just served, and we need to thank them for it.”
