Crimson Tide

In what was one of his last films before retirement, Hackman starred in the 1995 action thriller ‘Crimson Tide’.

Also starring Denzel Washington, James Gandolfini and Viggo Mortensen, the flick followed Hackman’s nuclear submarine commander Captain Ramsey who is determined to launch an attack, while his deputy insists on waiting for conformation.

Their conflict soon escalates when the two men fight deperately to seize control of the ship.
