Jessica Gunning takes home Best Female Actor in a Limited Series prize
Jessica Gunning felt like a "lucky bunny" to even be at the SAG Awards, and certainly didn’t expect to be leaving the ceremony with a statue!
The 38-year-old actress bested Kathy Bates, Cate Blanchett, Jodie Foster, Lily Gladstone and Cristin Milioti to win the the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series accolade for ‘Baby Reindeer’ and paid tribute to her fellow nominees.
Accepting her gong, she said: "Wow, thank you so much. Wow. I feel like such a lucky bunny to even be in this room, let alone be nominated or up here, honestly.
"When I first started acting, I had an office job alongside acting for about eight years. It's a very geeky thing to admit but in the mornings I used to go into work and look at a PowerPoint presentation, it was like a positive thinking vision board of all the things that I wanted to do and the people I wanted to meet or work with.
"Cate Blanchett, Jodie Foster and Kathy Bates were on that vision board, and so to be listed amongst them today, but also alongside Lily and Cristin who gave performances that absolutely knocked my socks off means to me more than I can express, so thank you for this."
