Shogun’s Anna Sawai bags Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series award
Anna Sawai became tearful picking up her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series.
The 32-year-old actress - who earned the honour for her role in the FX series ‘Shogun’ - admitted it was "kind of sad" that the SAG Awards would be the last time she could "celebrate" the show now that the awards seasons is concluding.
Sawai said after picking up her accolade: "Thank you so much. I'm very happy but I'm also kind of sad because this is probably the last time I'm able to celebrate the work with you guys.
"I love you, the whole FX team. [Creators] Justin [Marks], Rachel [Kondo], thank you so much for everything. My team, I love you... Thank you for believing in me, always."
