Jesse Eisenberg’s shock win

Jesse Eisenberg was so taken aback by his win at the EE BAFTA Awards that he didn’t even write a speech!

The 41-year-old actor secured the Best Original Screenplay honour for his comedy flick ‘A Real Pain’, and dedicated the accolade to his wife Anna Strout - even though she didn’t believe he’d walk away from the ceremony with a statue either.

Taking to the stage, he said: “I didn't write anything because I didn't think I'd win! I do want to share this with my wife, who didn't come because she didn't think I'd win!"
