While Andrew Lincoln was happy to appear in the beloved romcom ‘Love Actually’, the actor wasn’t much of a fan of his character Mark.

His alter ego falls head-over-heels for his best friend Peter’s (Chiwetel Ejiofor) wife Juliet (Keira Knightley), and spends most of his screen time gazing longingly at her.

Lincoln lamented: "In one of the most romantic movies of all time, I got to play the only guy who doesn’t get the girl. I got to be this weird stalker guy."

'The Walking Dead' actor also questioned director Richard Curtis' intentions with the famous doorway scene that Mark features in.

He said: "My big scene in the doorway felt so easy. I just had to hold cards and be in love with Keira Knightley.

"But I kept saying to Richard, ‘Are you sure I'm not going to come off as a creepy stalker?’"
