George Clooney played the Caped Crusader in the 1997 movie 'Batman and Robin' but hated his time working on the film and couldn’t see eye-to-eye with with director Joel Schumacher’s more campy version of the DC hero.

Clooney later admitted it "physically hurts" to watch his "terrible" performance in the flick, which was savaged by critics and bombed at the box office.

He added: "I am the least qualified person to comment on anyone playing the role of Batman since I so terribly destroyed the part."
