R'n'B singer Chris Brown was one of the hottest acts in music with a string of hits on the Billboard Hot 100 when he turned himself into the police after assaulting former partner Rihanna in 2009.

The 'Loyal' hitmaker later pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge and accepted a plea deal of community labour, five years of probation, and domestic violence counselling.

At the time, the rapper's music was taken off many radio stations.

However, he's still continued his music career and kept a loyal fan base.
