Filmmaking on a budget

The first 'Terrifier’ movie did not have the backing of a major Hollywood studio, and so Damien Leone had the tiny budget of $35,000 to to work with.

Following the reaction to the slasher, the second movie got a big bump in financing up to $250,000, though that too was made outside of the main movie industry.

As for the newly released ‘Terrifier 3’, that also saw a major budget increase up to $2 million, but the final box office takings are set to dwarf that figure.
