Staying in character
Wanting to keep her performance consistent, Meryl Streep chose to stay in character at all times, even when the cameras weren’t rolling.
The actress actually maintained Miranda Priestly’s brutal persona from the very first day of production, right up until filming wrapped.
Anne Hathaway recounted: “When I met her she gave me a huge hug. And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, we are going to have the best time on this movie,’ and then she’s like, ‘Ah, sweetie, that’s the last time I’m nice to you.’"
